Do I need a support crew to race?

No. Runners may easily compete in the event using just the support services and transportation provided. You don’t even need to rent a car.

Are there buses to / from the start / finish?

Yes. A coordinated schedule of buses can take you between the event hotels and the start / finish line each day. Race transport options are detailed here.

How does Run Tasmania Stage Race compare to Run Larapinta and Run Bibbulmun Stage Race?

We would say that Run Tasmania would fit perfectly in the middle of both the above races. With Run Larapinta scoring 8/10 difficulty, Run Tasmania scoring 7/10 and Run Bibbulmun scoring 6/10 Difficulty.

What happens if i need to withdraw during the race?

Runners must notify race management via phone/text they are withdrawing. Runners can re-join the race on subsequent stages but they will not be eligible for prizes and will not receive a total elapsed time for the event.

What is provided at checkpoints?

‘Fuelling the machine’ is crucial to the success of any runner in any running event. We strongly encourage any runner to read the basic nutrition and hydration pointers on this page and do your own research and PRACTICE your plan well before race week. We will provide the following items at checkpoints:

  • Water
  • Skratch nutrition products
  • Lollies
  • Fruitcake
  • Fruit – bananas and oranges
  • Fruit buns or scrolls or donuts
  • Chips / BBQ shapes
  • PLUS other items to be confirmed nearer the event

There are toilets at every checkpoint and start / finish line.

What are the cut-off times for the event? What happens if I don’t make a cut-off time?

All the cut-off times are listed on our website here. These will be enforced.

How do I use an entry credit from a previous event?

Please email [email protected]. You will be sent a voucher code to redeem your credit.

I am unable to participate – where can I view the Refund Policy?
